Non-habitual resident status

The Non-Habitual Resident Status (NHRS) is applicable to Portuguese citizens who want to return to the country and to foreign citizens who decide to travel to Portugal. This status has associated tax advantages, regarding the taxation of the income, valid for a period of ten years.
MBGA provides all services necessary to obtain the Non-Habitual Resident Status, namely:

o   Consultancy services on double residence and taxation of income;
o   Obtention of the Portuguese Tax Identification Number;
o   Opening of a bank account;
o   Representation of the customer;
o   Legal aid for the obtention of a permanent home in Portugal and correspondent documental due diligence;
o   Registry as EU’s citizen before the City Council or Immigration and Borders Service, in the case of European or non-European citizens;
o   Registry before the Tax Authority, as tax resident in Portugal, obtention of the access key and submission of the request to obtain the NHRS.
